Q: How do you pronounce your last name ?
A: It is pronounced "AS-RELL"...If you watch the movie Dogma, Jason Lee's character is named "Azrael" and there is also a villain in the Batman comic book series with the same name.

Q: Are you single ?
A: Nope. I've been married to my wife since October 26, 2011.

Q: What sort of stuff pisses you off ?
A: Lots of shit....bad grammar irritates me, people who call me 30 times a day, people who get in the music business only to try and make money, radio friendly shit rock, bald guys that still grow (what's left) of their hair long, midgets, squidgets, and people that can't speak clearly.

Q: Why did you get into the music business ?
A: I love playing guitar. I'm not gonna lie, I lost that love for a number of years but it's back now.

Q: Why are you such a prick ?
A: It all depends on the time, the day, and the way the planets are alligned...LoL...Seriously though, it's just a matter of how people come across to me when I meet them.

Q: Did you take bass/guitar lessons ?
A: Yes, from several different teachers...I learnt the most from Tom Barkstrom, Adam Kole, and Doug Datwyler.

Q: Where did you go to High School and if/when did you graduate ?
A: I went to Cooper City High School, and I graduated in 2002.

Q: Did you go to college ?
A: Several times...I attended Broward Community College but left because I really didn't want to be there...Then I went to The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, but I left to go on tour...When I came back I decided not to return....Four years after that I went to the Musicians Institute for Guitar Craft and graduated in March of 2009....In February 2012 I graduated Kaplan University with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice. I'm also a certified Corrections Officer through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

Q: Who influenced you to play bass ?
A: Quite a few people...guys like Twiggy Ramirez/Jeordie White, Nikki Sixx, David Vincent, Duff McKagan, Rex Brown, Gene Simmons, Rachel Bolan, Geezer Butler, Cliff Burton, Jason Newstead, and Tom Hamilton.

Q: Who influenced you to play guitar ?
A: A lot of people...Guys like Slash, Zakk Wylde, Joe Perry, Dimebag Darrell, James Hetfield, Kirtk Hammett, Kerry King, Jeff Hanneman, Trey Azagthoth, Robin Finck, Randy Rhoads, Scotti Hill, Dave Sabo, Zim Zum, Daisy Berkowitz, John 5, Dave Mustaine, and Mick Mars(one of the most underrated guitarists).

Q: Who are some of your favorite singers ?
A: Axl Rose, Sebastian Bach, Robert Plant, Ozzy Osbourne, James Hetfield, Taime Downe, Steven Tyler, Marilyn Manson, Dez Fafara, Phil Anselmo, Steve Tucker, David Vincent, and Trent Reznor.

Q: Do you take drugs ?
A: No....I hate drug addicts.

Q: Do you drink ?
A: Yes...I use it to unwind after working all day. I developed a real alcohol addiction that I managed to get under control.

Q: Do you have any tattoos ?
A: Yes...I've got the old Marilyn Manson logo (the one off of "Portrait Of An American Family")and a little devil boy on my right arm...On my inner left forearm I've got Lock, Shock, and Barrel from "The Nightmare Before Christmas"....On my outer left foream I've got a sick looking skull tattoo...On my left hand I've got "SDMF"...On my right hand I've got  "1984" (the year I was born...not in reference to the Van Halen album)....and the logo for the Insane Clown Posse album "Riddlebox", The Joker and Harley Quinn, the Montag "M", the Glock logo, a tribal clown, and Dr. Rockso on my right forearm.

Q: What do you like playing more, guitar or bass ?
A: I'm primarily a guitarist but that depends on the band...I like both instruments for different reasons.

Q: Would you ever consider putting together a band with any of your past bandmates ?
A: Depends on who asked.

Q: What do you say to people who call you arrogant ?
A: I guess I am to a certain extent....but I try not to be towards fans and friends.

Q: Fair enough...But aren't you arrogant when it comes to your guitar playing ?
A: I wouldn't call it arrogance...I'm just confident...I know I'm not the best guitar player in the world and I don't claim to be...I'm always learning...but I know what I'm good at, and when you're good at something you should be proud and show everyone how good you are....Any "real musician" is never gonna think they're as good as their idols, so they're constantly trying to reach the level that their heroes are at.

Q: Are you really a Corrections Officer ?
A: Yes, I am FDLE Certified in Corrections and I'm a former employee of the Florida Department of Corrections.

Q: What bands were you in previously ?
A: I have been in many different bands of all styles of rock and metal. I'm not going to use this website to promote any of my past efforts anymore because the past is just that...the past. In the near future the songs on this site from my previous bands will no longer be on here. While I'm proud of my work it's time to move on.
